
Emiti Emito Creative Arts Initiative
The Emiti Emito Creative Arts Initiative in Uganda is dedicated to promoting sustainable development through education, environmental conservation, creative arts, and community health activities. Emiti Emito Creative Arts Initiative Uganda (EECAIU) is a non-profit organization in Nabulagala community, a suburb of Kampala City (Uganda), with a community center known as "The House” as its base.
Our mission is to empower and inspire children, young people and women living in this community to succeed as generous, caring and responsible leaders in life. Education: Establishment of a Community School
This year, we successfully established the Emiti Emito Community School, which aims to provide holistic education integrating academic learning with practical skills development.
Project Categories.

Climate Change Projects
Our climate change projects focus on practical solutions to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable living.
The program involved training over 80 youth ad children in briquette making, producing and distributing over 500 eco-friendly briquettes, and generating income through selling them in local markets. Workshops on creating composite disposable bags were held, involving 80 community members. Over 300 eco-friendly bags were distributed, and awareness campaigns were launched. Additionally, wind energy turbines were demonstrated and community engagement was achieved through informational sessions on their benefits and mechanics.
Arts: Making of Sculptures, painting, weaving and Shading
Art is a powerful tool for expression and education. This year, we expanded our arts program to include sculpture making and shading.
The organization provided regular classes and workshops in sculpture making, completed community art projects, and offered shading techniques classes to 60 children, while also organizing art competitions to encourage creativity and talent among youth.
Sustainable Health Community Activities
Health and well-being are crucial for a thriving community. Our sustainable health activities focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and environmental health. The organization conducted health workshops on water sanitation hygiene and organized quarterly clean-up campaigns to improve sanitation and reduce environmental health risks.

To enhance our impact and sustainability, we invested in organizational development, focusing on resource mobilization and child safeguarding policies.

Key Achievements.
The school successfully enrolled 80 students from underserved communities, developed a comprehensive curriculum including environmental education, vocational training, creative arts, and traditional academic subjects, constructed two new classrooms and a multipurpose hall, and conducted professional development workshops for teachers.
